Reykjavik is beautifully situated on the west coast of Iceland, close to many natural wonders like Mt. Esja, in the background.
Many of the buildings and roofs are brightly colored. Homes and buildings are constructed of concrete, and painted.
Hallgrimskirkja Church towers above the city center. The design was inspired by Iceland's rugged mountains and icecaps.
Many people enjoy the excitement of Reykjavik, which has a symphony orchestra and theatre, ballet and opera companies.

The Icelandic people are descendants of the Vikings. Beauty and strength are their significant qualities. In fact, two Miss World's, during the past decade, were from Iceland.
