Homework 5: CSS, Lists & Backgrounds

For this homework you will be using external CSS, graphical list items and backgrounds.
You need to construct a semantic, valid XHTML file using the Strict doctype and style it with a valid, external style sheet brought in with a <link />.
Content is up to you but should contain some listable items: to-do lists, projects instructions, recipes, etc.

Your content needs to include:

At least 2 levels of headings
At least 3 lists;
- one ordered
- one unordered
- one nested (either one)
At least 3 links;
- 1 relative
- 2 to outside web sites
At least 2 other block-level and 2 inline-level elements (in addition to the headings, lists and links); semantically appropriate to their content
Be sure to include a meaningful <title>
Include a <link /> to your style sheet
Include your name and short description in either an appropriate <meta /> or HTML comment

Set a starting font size and use the verdana, geneva, lucida, arial, sans-serif sequence; also include a 1.5 line-height multiplier
Include at least 2 background images; be sure that they do not make the page unreadable. You can apply these to any element you choose.
Include background and color properties.
Modify the list items, including using at least one list image
Modify the link states
Make at least 4 other CSS modifications

Send the URL to my email address with the subject line INP 150-02 - hw5 - Your Name. Also be sure to bring in a print out.
