Art pervades everything in a Waldorf day. The children illustrate stories and fables, writing exercises, even math problems. Wet-on-wet painting with a large brush forces the children away from detail, and encourages them to experiment with color and texture. Even children not artistically inclined create works of wonder and beauty. (click on an image below to see the full painting) Form drawing helps develop hand-eye coordination, and requires great concentration and attention to detail. |
